OUt Of Mind Imaginations

Helping Artists look great since 2012

Out Of Mind Imaginations is Ralston’s work when he specifically worked with musicians. These services included live concert photography, music videos, promotional needs, and consultation.

History

Origin, identity, and why the name is from a cow...

The origins of Out Of Mind Imaginations (“OOMI”) date back to when Ralston was in the 8th grade. For reasons that probably made great sense as a pre-teen, he and a friend were fixated upon the sound of a cow. They would “Moo” at each other throughout their class (Ironically, it was Art) as they thought it was hilarious.

A couple years later, Ralston discovered his love for Digital Media and dreamt of one day creating his own Design Firm. Somewhere while brainstorming the idea, he was reminded of the goofy “Moo” fascination and began playing with the concept. At one point, he reversed the letters to “OOM”. This led to “Out Of Mind”, and because creative works come from the mind, he added an “I” for ideas that come from imagination.

From this, “Out Of Mind Imaginations” was born.

The logo is the initials over a 5-point perspective map, thus symbolizing that even when ideas get wild or extreme, there is still purpose and structure behind their design.

Introduction to musicians

Ralston began getting serious with his photography in early 2012. During this time, a friend and fellow musician asked him for photos during an upcoming gig. Soon after this, the friend began performing at the B.F.E. Rock Club in Houston, TX.

Not long after getting to know other musicians, Ralston began working more with Concert Photography and expanding his network. Among this network was the Dees family and their band, Series Six. In the following months, they would work together often and a family-like bond was formed.

Before long, Ralston became their official photographer that same year.

In time, Ralston became a recognized name within Houston for his work.

Hold On Hollywood

In 2014, Series Six made the decision to discontinue. Members Nick Dees and Devin Holden decided to continue on with a new project, Hold On Hollywood.

After almost a year of development, Hold On Hollywood debuted in 2015. In the following years, they would open for Bon Jovi and numerous other notable national acts and friendships were formed within the Music Industry (94.5 The Buzz, Blue October, Candlebox, and more). In addition to this, they also were involved with interviews on Network Television, and notable shows were played (Toyota Center, Buzzfest, Bud Light Roast, Bikes On The Bayou, House of Blues, and more).

Ralston worked as crew and the official photographer/videographer before resigning in the spring of 2020.

The experiences the team shared were invaluable in friendship, memories, and their careers.

Ralston relocated in 2023. They still maintain a personal and professional relationship to this day and often collaborate.

Evolution

Expanding the brand

As beneficial as OOMI was, Ralston found himself in a pickle. He wanted to expand his services, but this would prove tricky as the brand was already established with a musician-centered focus.

In addition, the name itself did not help. Due to the original concept as a creative design firm, it wasn’t a great match for marketing photography.

In 2022, he decided to rebrand as Blake Ralston Photography, a creative umbrella with separate divisions for general photography and editing while also providing musician services under a known name.

Jorgen Media

As time moved on, Ralston began venturing into the world of Legal Videography. In addition to expanding his services, he decided to separate his name from the business and rebrand with a name that would better represent a multi-purposed service for digital media.

In the beginning of 2025, he launched Jorgen Media.
